I am a painter living in Minnesota. I worked as a medical illustrator for most of my career, where my primary role involved conceptualizing and clarifying complex surgical procedures.
In 2021 I began oil painting full time. I have an AB in Art and Art History and an MFA in Medical and Biological Illustration.
My current work focuses primarily on still life painting from observation. I paint both directly in single sessions and indirectly over multiple stages. I also maintain an ongoing interest in human anatomy and try to practice figure drawing regularly.
